Re: December 2022
I don't buy that 6Z GFS run for a second, by the way. It's been way too bullish with west Gulf lows all season. Odds are it doesn't have the pattern right. Right on cue from 57 😆 I’ll take my cues from 57 when it comes to tropical weather but I’ll take my cues from our on-air mets when it comes to ...

Re: December 2022
There’s a met on S2K predicting that it goes further south for a 2004 redux where we end up with nothing here. I sure hope that doesn’t turn out to be the case.

Re: December 2022
From Travis on fb Christmas is now in view of our 10 day forecast, and right out of the gate we are predicting this to be among Houston's top 5 coldest Christmas mornings. It will likely be even colder for the days leading up to Christmas, and yes, there is a small but legit chance there could be w...

Re: December 2022
ABC 13 weather team in Houston now mentioning Siberian air and giving an early heads up about “severe cold” by Christmas weekend… “An arctic cold front?! Will this be a repeat of the February 2021 winter storm? And could we have a white Christmas? It's too early to know exactly how we will be impact...

Re: December 2022
February 2021, it was good to see the snow, but it was bad because EROCOT was not prepared for that severe of a cold outbreak which wreaked havoc on the power grid in in Texas. I hope if this scenario were to play out, they are prepared. Also it happening 2 day from Christmas would likely cancel tr...

Re: December 2022
A replay of this sure would be fun. It was more of a snow event than ice as I recall. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3zHls2HP17o Haha The big hair era in America. Many would take 1989 or my avatar. Except I'd have to drive 50-60 miles to find the snow for a Christmas Even 2004 analog - the 2004 stor...

Re: December 2022
The pattern the models have setting up around the 17th of the month and onward is a textbook setup for significant winter weather down here. With multiple gulf lows spawning off the coast and allowing arctic air to filter in on the backside of the low, with overrunning precip. It's the pattern you wan...
