Interesting. The 12z Euro also has a GoM hurricane (Cat 2-3), but more of an eastern solution.
Still, eyes should be on the Gulf in about 10-12 days for some mischief.

Perfect weather to welcome in October 2022. Upper 50s will feel great tomorrow morning. This evening's HOU-GAL AFD is singing the song:
♬ Summer has come and passed ♬
♬ Triple digits can never last ♬
♬ Wake me up when September ends ♬

Models are starting to sniff out a stronger fall front around the 10/11th, bigger push of Canadian air

78°F and dry. This is more like it. If it's going to be dry and it's Fall, let it be.
Compared with summer, loving the 80s and low DP. With the sun angle lower in now early Oct., at least there is less watering.

Should posted this here:
Temps now are great for me. Glad to be done with the 100-degree heat. Now if we could just get one decent rain to hold us over for awhile. Transportation and evaporation is less this time of year with the sun angle going down and the cooler weather. We don't need too much but something would be nice. My September rainfall monthly total was only 0.69" and that was all on the first or second of the month - nothing since.

00z Euro towards the end of its run has a nice build up of cooler canadian air beginning to spill into the central US, will have to watch that as it could bring in a stronger fall front sometime in the next 10-11 days or so

Cooler is good but we need some damned rain. Ground is still badly cracked where I'm at and everything is trying to die.

Personally I just want some rain. Don’t really care too much if we get any fronts or not as long as the upper 90’s and high dew points don’t come back.
