Looks like a strong El Nino. If it was fall and winter, the effects would be obvious. Warm PDO usually tends to have more winter weather events.

Im curious, why does a warmer PDO lead to more winter weather events around here?

Warm PDO helps to amplify ridges and supply the fuel for deep digging troughs.

Critical for the time of cold air and moisture. Some La Niña winter blasts are colder, but the moisture is not in place.
