48 frame GOES 16 Visible imagery suggests the mid level vort may be attempting to alien with the surface low of Harvey.

We are doing ok in W League City with 37.85" as of this morning with more rain ongoing again. Multiple homes flooded in our neighborhood. We just got back from Kroger's which was chaos. 50 minutes in line for a check out and lines to get in the store out into the parking lot. This has become and exhausting event and its not over yet.

If you are in any of the voluntary and mandatory evacuation areas in Fort Bend County….you need to leave immediately. There are pumping issues in Sienna Plantation and it is likely that some of the levees will be overtopped. Follow directions of local emergency officials
The Fort Bend county judge said on ch 2 that Sienna Plantation was built for a 100 year event. The judge said, for Fort Bend County, he believes this event to be an 800 year event.

Thanks srain - What does that ultimately mean? Does that mean the rain is beginning to fill in more? Sorry, just trying to understand .....

Looks like Harvey may be trying to wobble SW. The enhanced banding on the NW side near the CoC supports this.

Harvey was tilting to the NE with the mid level vort onshore and the surface low offshore. It may become vertically stacked or at least a bit more defined. Increased banding suggest that Harvey is trying to get its act together before making a second landfall late Tuesday... possibly early Wednesday. Also Jeff is telling NWS and Everyone that we are in uncharted territory now. There will be a Live News Conference at 2:00 PM with the Army Corp of Engineers and HCFCD.

Looking at radar trends it appears to be getting its act together yet again. The Houston area, IMHO, isn't out of the woods just yet.
