But if the pointy-hairs can't show 'improvements' in the budget, how can they justify their annual pay raises?!?

Unfortunately, it’s in every business these days. I work in health care technology and we are chronically understaffed, putting patents’ lives at risk. Everyone is trying to more with less people and more automation.

NPR picked up the story today https://www.npr.org/2018/03/02/58984531 ... udget-cuts

ProPublica re-tweeted https://twitter.com/ProPublica/status/9 ... 2815215622

I hope it gets the attention it deserves in Congress

NOAA sounded the alarm last year when Trump announced all the budget cuts.

Nah. They're too busy depositing campaign donation checks. Government employees can't afford to do that, so they're not heard from. Not that I'm bitter OR cynical. ;)

One end of the political spectrum hated science in the 70s...and now it's the other side. Funding has been increasingly iffy overall.

It won't make a difference until a noreaster or cyclone damages a Senator's home. It's too easy to put other people's lives and livelihood in danger.
