Is the white/gray definitely snow? If so it’s getting very close to the middle of Houston.

No, I’m near lake Conroe and we’ve only gotten sleet so far.

Just got home a bit ago from Madisonville. Insane snowy conditions! I wont forget that for a long time. I will post a few pics later. I'm glad we went because moisture wont last much longer and nothing but a cold rain with sleet in Conroe...maybe one wet flake. Looks like Conroe and points south won't see any. Crazy because 45 minutes north of me is a winter wonderland.

Next Sunday is looking mighty interesting on the 18z GFS. 540 line all the way down to the 59 corridor with heavy precipitation.

Just an FYI, Srain called this ( Stratospheric Warmong Event) weeks back. Expect more of these incursions coming ul.

The latest HRRR is more aggressive with frozen precip in Harris and Montgomery counties.Radar now shows the frozen line down to the northwest side of Houston now.

We still have along night,the HRRR has frozen precip becoming more enhanced around 9 to 11 tonight.

Not to harp on this, but I will take all the rain we can get. This is still a La Nina year ( yeah, I know.LOL) and there might be some episodes this season (2021) that moisture might be hard to come by
