Negativity is what killed snow for Houston this last time. When it comes to cold in Houston we need collective positivity. Why is negativity toward cold and snow so prevalent among certain people?

I want to make a deal. Let's ban negativity about snow and cold from the board. If we can do that, mother nature will respond. The Earth is a living being and responds to emotions like negativity and positivity.

I was already thinking that lol
Yeah srain banned AZ a few years ago. A mod needs to play whack-a-mole it seems. Trolls are making the interwebs very un-fun, sadly.

It was up in BCS. Major advection! NW25 G25 Dewpoint of 13°. 19% humidity.

Good thing I'm half Italian or this would be a major chapped skin day!

IAH recorded several hours of wind gusts above 30mph. Not too bad.

Im near friendswood. my highest gust was 24.2 mph. im not saying it wasnt windy but i dont think the wind advisory was warranted. What criteria does NWS Houston use for wind advisories?

I believe its around 35mph gusts which I think most of the region did a couple of hours in that range.

I woke-up to a nose bleed. I’m done with winter and ready for some humidity again. It does look like a nice day though if the wind would calm down.

Is it just my area or did a whole lot of dust blow in? All my clean cars are coated in a fine dust.

Jasons, it was very dry yesterday. I recorded a low daytime dewpoint of 13 F. That kind of dry but not very cold airmass would be perfect for wet bulbing snow

Same here. Think we had a bunch of dust carried down on those gusty winds from the panhandle and West texas.

There’s a haze in the sky down here in Wharton County too. This airmass is crazy dry. West Texas weather, no doubt.

Do you have a humidifier? Even boiling water helps. I have sinus problems, and have been experimenting with saline nasal sprays - Arm & Hammer with saline with bicarb seems to be the most soothing and passageway clearing.

No way I'm wishing on heat and humidity, though! ;)
