0Z GFS starts to bring the mother load of cold down from Canada in the latter frames.... we'll see if it's a trend.

If the gfs holds for next Sunday, a 2 hr trip north up I-45 would be worth the trip to see the good stuff!

6z/12z GFS look like the wintry mischief is more north than west. Rain south of Hearne for now. but snow up to the Red River in central and NE TX.

Ok. I'm just west of New Orleans. Many times, what the Houston area gets, we get the next day. We are about the same latitude.

GFS would deliver a Winter Storm on the 3 year anniversary of our last measurable Winter event here. Mid January 2018

The CMC has it now. Euro up next. I think by Wednesday we’ll know a lot more.
