It may actually go south of you. Well the worst of it anyway from the looks of it according to the HRR.
Looks to be hooking back at me. Lots of hail signatures too.

We’ve gotten 1” so far here tonight and still raining pretty steadily out there. The 0z GFS is wet tonight. Shows chances for rain just about every day through the entire run.

I know nome of the models are indicating anything tropical developing over the next 10-15 days in the gulf because of alot of sinking air that presides in the gulf right now, however I am getting a little interested in the 12z GFS run because it indicates around the June 2-6th timeframe, their is a period in which the GFS has more green or rising air over the gulf, as we know rising air tends to promote thunderstorm growth, not saying anything is going to happen, just something of note I saw in the model run

Noaa calls for a well above normal precipitation period while the WPC only has southeast Texas picking up .25 to maybe 1 inch for the entire week🤔🤔🤨

I’m guessing today’s rain chances fizzled out.

Yep they have been lowered for the rest of today along with next week’s rain chances. Ridging is a touch stronger, and it’s still a tad dry.

That’s a 6 to 10 day forecast for the dates of June 4th through June 8th from the CPC. The WPC QPF forecast is for the next 7 days and often times the WPC is way off on their predictions and it tends to actually rain quite a bit more than what it’s actually saying. They’re usually very conservative.

Strong signal in the GFS for potential tropical development in the gulf around the 9th or 10th, I know its far out but some people are starting to mention it, definitely could happen as conditions are slowly becoming more conducive for development

Those rain chances that were originally predicted for Saturday actually came late Friday night so no they didn’t really fizzle out, they just came earlier than predicted.
