I'm ready for some mostly cloudy / rainy days. It's miserable outside right now.

I'm waiting until the sun is almost down before mowing the backyard! 8-)

DoctorMu it depends on where you are lol, at least in my area most of the thunderstorm activity that occurs isnt until very late evening after the beaches are closed, I will say the night tume thunderstorms here are a sight to see, the lightning when it flashes pretty much illuminates the clouds while the storm is passing, its awesome

There was a massive storm in Panama City Beach about 2 hours ago. I assume it's dry in the command center in your mom's basement. 8-)

Have a good weekend.

Who will win the rainfall lottery next week as the trough drifts westward into TX? Just a few isolated tropical showers the last several days in W League City and the yard looks great. The humidity however remains a little intense ;)

I hope it's me. Through all these rain events the last week or two I've managed less than 0.10 added altogether.

The GFS is quite a bit wetter than the Euro. The GFS shows several inches are possible while the Euro shows around 1-3”.

Interesting. Both Canadian and GFS have a July 4th weekend front with precip. I'll take it.

I don’t understand it. We seem to be getting fronts in the summer now the past few years or so and I just don’t recall that ever happening before.

What a glorious day in the Smoky Mountains. Woke up to a chilly 55F this morning and our high today was 77F. Looks like the 4th of July will be below normal from Texas to the Carolinas.

I’ve said this before (with absolutely no proof to back it up), only general observation. It feels that somewhere over the last few years, the seasons have shifted about a month and 1/2 forward.

🤷🏽‍♂️

In the past few years the summer fronts have been a brief respite, although last summer was a little better. This seems to be a pattern that's part of this weird La Nina year...I hope it doesn't fade away yet. I'd compare the weather this year (Winter, Spring) so far to what would be more typical or Raleigh, NC. A few degrees warmer now in mid June. Periodic rains and temps below 100°F are a blessing. A few more mosquitoes is a welcome tradeoff.

The Northwest though is feeling some serious pain. But one man's ceiling is another man's floor.

...and wetter. Getting weeks closer to college football season without the usual Texas summer horticulture massacre. Knock on wood. 8-)
