I would like yalls opinion on that healthy and vigorous looking tropical wave in the western Caribbean, it has sustained its thunderstorm convection all day long, is it possible that the NHC might highlight this system depending on what it looks like tomorrow? For me personally this wave has caught my attention
Texaspirate, thank you ma'am. That was a good read. Cool story.

Back door East to West storms can be brutal.
Watching the lightning from Friendswood.
Watching the lightning from Friendswood.
There's rain from the expanding cell 1/2 a mile from our home.
Would be shocked if there is more encroachment...
So much for this evenings storms. Evaporated as soon as it was getting closer.

Things could get pretty active in the tropics around the 2nd and beyond, the 12z GFS is indicating lots of upward rising air will overspread the gulf, Caribbean and the MDR by the 2nd and persisting for quite a while, that is when the models are suggesting a backdoor front kay enter the picture as well, could be watching the gulf around that timeframe for any tropical mischief
Yes, thank you! That was a good read!Texaspirate11 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 11:06 amThanks for reading it! Bill Read did a lot of research on it! Shout out to our NWS!
There was a little writeup in today’s Houston Chronicle as well:

CPV17 yep saw that, hoping this pans out, persistent troughs and an occasional summer front ,ill gladly take over having a death ridge sit over us for the majority of summer, only concern I have is this persistent troughiness combined with the font the models are showing, could definitely cause some tropical mischief
One August front in CLL is a miracle. A second is...2021 weather.
GFS sniffs that first backdoor front around August 3rd and a second one around the 11th. Canadian agrees.
Even the Ensembles are progging 1-4 inches of rain over 15 days across SETX.
Would be fantastic events, especially after today's megabust.

DoctorMu yeah im keeping my fingers crossed for this pattern to come to fruition, would be nice to get a good break from this heat, speaking of the heat, why is it always at nighttime that I find ao many toads on my front porch? They out their just hopping around
GFS is doubling down on fronts and rain chances. Fingers crossed.
