But not THIS much in just 1 week, this is going to cause severe flooding & mudslide possibilities.DoctorMu wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 1:39 amThey need the rain.Iceresistance wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 8:24 pm I do want to mention that California, Oregon, & Washington state are going to be whammered in the next 7 Days . . .

Summer has made a comeback too for awhile, it seems. Will need to water the lawn again soon.

Too. Hot.
Weather's going to suck until Wednesday and the next cold front, with rising dewpoints and highs near 90°F.

Very La Niña like right now. Few troughs pass through over the next 10-14 days, but nothing abnormal on the horizon. Rain will also hard to come by with any of the aforementioned troughs. Was hoping TD17-E (soon to be Rick) would deliver, but looking like much of the remnant moisture will move towards our east. Overall, looks like a fairly stagnant weather pattern for the next 2-3 weeks. Much needed liquid gold for the western U.S. though.

Snowman65 yeah no, its not going to be a “ hot winter” we will get cold snaps
I'll go with uneventful as I'm not too bothered by it as I do enjoy the the overall pleasant weather we've had of late. However, it would be nice to pick up some measurable rain with these fronts that swing through. Drought slowly expanding across the state and don't see much improvement with what's likely to be a below average precip for the next couple of months. October our 2nd wettest month, averaging around 5.5" (IAH). Have only observed 2.85" Rain next week should get us above the 3" mark at least.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 11:58 am Belmer so in other words, our weather here is going to suck for the next 2-3 weeks

Looks like a cold front moves through around the 27/28thth but nothing earth shattering followed by a better one on or the day before Halloween per GFS. I don't like it hot on Halloween either so I like what I've been seeing the past few days...we shall see.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 2:34 pm Belmer yeah I totally get that, definitely havent had much rain here in College Station in a while, we dont need drought problems, just hope it isnt too warm on halloween

By around day 10 the 12z GFS is starting to indicate a nice/ big cool down for a good chunk of the central US, thats around or just after halloween, keeping my fingers crossed!
Yes, the Wednesday front has been progged for about 10 days. I think/hope this is the one that kills 70°F dewpoints until April or May.redneckweather wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 3:43 pmLooks like a cold front moves through around the 27/28thth but nothing earth shattering followed by a better one on or the day before Halloween per GFS. Nice rain shower just came through BCS. A couple of tenths, maybe three. Grass is slowing down and brown patch is invading again, despite lying down fungicide twice. One more round of fungicide this afternoon and the hellwithit.
