Latest qpf shifted moisture eastward. Barely anything for Beaumont and about zip for rest of Texas. Figures.

Moisture eastward. Texas is just about nadda for moisture the next 7 days.

Disgusting.

We just got back from a few days in Austin. It’s greener over there than over here.

This is FAR from set in stone what will happen. There are a lot of variables at play with the setup. For the Euro to shift from Texas back to Mobile in one run suggests that by itself. First we need something to form before we will know exactly where it will be heading. This could easily get trapped underneath the ridge still.

True. I guess our gulf blob two weeks ago showed us how much things can change and at last minute.

captainbarbossa19 steering currents look to be sporadic, guess that explains why the NHC has the development zone stretchint from Texas to Florida lol

Reminds me a bit of Debby from 2012, but imagine if the original forecast verified. The NHC forecasted it to hit Texas as a major.

Edit: Looks like it was forecasted just to be a hurricane, but still.

12z EPS generally agree whatever forms will stay well east of us, still time for things to change, but a path to Texas is looking unlikely at this time

I remember Debby! GFS to Florida and Euro to Texas. GFS won that battle. That was wild lol

It’s 105.6 IMBY right now. It’s crazy hot.

SGR airport is about 8-10 miles from me and they touched 106 at 3:50pm. Brutal.

110°F IMBY and humid (117°F heat index). Plus a 20 mph gusty hot breeze. It literally feels like the inside of a car when outside... when you blow that first hot blast of A/C before beginning to drive an it cools.

Our last 110°F day was in September about 20 years ago with lower sun angle.

Worst. Day. Ever.

We peaked at 104° out here in the boonies. That’s just going by what The Weather Channel app says. I don’t have a thermometer here. When I check other places on that app it’s usually a few degrees cooler than what you guys are reporting at your location so it could be warmer here too I suppose.
