It's congealing into a solid squall line now east of 45 and towards Winnie. To the northwest towards Hempstead & Hockley those boundaries are going to merge and then eventually all of Harris County will get a nice soaking, then pushing south towards the coast.

I just noticed there is more bubbling up near Huntsville, well behind all the outflows. Some of the earlier models showed nighttime convection continuing after sunset with the disturbance pushing south...

Right - moving away from my house, the epicenter.

I'd like to accept this Dunkin' Donuts Award on behalf of all the little people who work so hard behind the scenes...to maintain the integrity of the AggieDome...which once again has prevailed over our neighborhood.

Man that’s rough. Even when this occurs you get a donut. That donut hole will eventually fill the donut. Hopefully it’s this week.

This storm moving into Houston is the real deal. I was watching it outside and the lightning is almost like a continuous strobe. I can't remember the last time we had a storm like that in the area. An actual giant red blob and not some speck on the radar!

I’m loving the look of the radar!! Looks like some cell mergers are going to congeal into quite a line of storms for Austin, Wharton, Fort Bend, and possibly Colorado counties.

Exactly! For once this summer, we actually have a clean, solid swath of storms covering the entire area — not just Beaumont, not just Galveston Bay, but the entire metro area extending farther west too!

I hope College Station gets in on it, they really need it!
