I might hit 80 this week absolutely garbage
Remember where we live at... Our proximity to the Gulf makes it hard to stay cold for long here. Its a constant battle during the winter between cold air advection from cold fronts and the warm moist air from the Gulf. You're gonna have warm ups during the winter its just the way it is here.

It's absolutely wonderful!! It would be much nicer if it were a bit dryer, but warm I better than what we had at last weekend!!

I believe for your average person (someone who’s not really passionate and crazy about the weather), this weather would suit them just fine. Others, like myself, find it very boring.CrashTestDummy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 12:21 pmIt's absolutely wonderful!! I don't mind the temps, but 70°F dewpoint is for Miamians. There's nothing comfortable about it. At least tomorrow will have a lower DP. this is about the only early winter (late Dec, early Jan) day I can ever remember here with this level of water vapor in the air.txsnowmaker wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 10:28 am Absolutely disgusting weather. NWS has the city hitting 80F today, 79 on New Years, and 78 on Jan. 2. I’ve lived here for 45 years, and there is absolutely nothing normal about us being in the 80s/near 80 for so many days in December and into January. Not saying it’s never happened, but it’s definitely not the norm or something to be expected here.

70s in air temp, yes. 70°DP, no. Unfortunately, I had to turn on the A/C.
Exactly! This past weekend was actually pretty nice! Sunny blue skies with temps in the 30’s and 40’s. Honestly nothing to complain about.
These showers have some pretty heavy rain in them.
There is a price to pay for having an arctic blast.. and this is it. lol Time to pay the piper. Maybe we'll have a few more cold snaps.. maybe not.. hard to say with any degree of confidence anymore. Who knows.
Beaumont area gonna get hammered once again lol
Oh well. We don’t really need the rain at my house. We’ll be ok for the next month without any.

Sounds good to me, Strat!
