The monsoon is simply a seasonal shift in winds which TYPICALLY results in higher dewpoints/moisture. There are phases during the monsoon in which drier air can be pulled into the circulation as well. You may like the clear dry air but the monsoon period is essential to recharging the water needs of the region.
