While many in our Region are still displaced and have yet to begin repairs from our 2017 Hurricane Season, time is quickly approaching when eyes turn toward the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico as Hurricane Season 2018 begins June 1st.

I know we are Hurricane Weary from Harvey, but we know that living along the Gulf Coast every Hurricane Season could bring Tropical Troubles. Over the next couple of weeks our experts in Long Range Tropical Forecasting will begin issuing their first 2018 Hurricane Seasonal Outlooks. While our 8 or so of our KHOU Weather Forum Members/Pro Mets are attending the National Tropical Weather Conference, Dr. Phil Klotzbach and his Colorado State University Team will issue their Outlook "Live" from Conference at 9:00 AM CDT Thursday April 5th. We will provide links and other information from the 2018 National Tropical Weather Conference Topic beginning a week from this coming Tuesday. Feel free to post other reliable Hurricane Seasonal Outlook here. I cannot express enough that our KHOU Weather Forum and our associated Texas Weather Board Facebook and Twitter Feeds are very highly respected for providing accurate and factual information to so many folks across our Region and Beyond. Everyone worked hard...together...as a team during last Hurricane Season. Let's continue to strive for the best and most reliable information there is across the Web and continue to earn the Trust that our countless followers depend on throughout the year when weather worries come our way!
