Never seen a storm maintain it’s intensity and satellite presentation like this, other than Andrew.

A Weatherflow observations on Pontchartrain Causeway recently 
reported a sustained wind of 66 mph (106 km/h) and a gust of 89 
mph (142 km/h).

An observation at the Gulfport Marina in Mississippi recently 
reported a sustained wind of 61 mph (98 km/h).

Another observation in Shell Beach, Louisiana, reported a sustained 
wind of 61 mph (98 km/h) with a gust of 75 mph (120 km/h).

Just saw this WWL reporting tower is down. No electricity. Some NOLA areas have no water. LaPlace, Metarie, Kenner Western suburbs) hit very hard.

I'm live-streaming Fox 8 WVUE and David Bernard (with Zach Fradella) just gave an extensive walkthrough. Most of the hurricane conditions have moved to the northwest of the city now. They just showed probabilities for hurricane force winds in the next 24 hours and Hammond was 100%, Baton Rouge 58%, and New Orleans was down to 0%. Tropical Storm force probabilities were still at 100% however.
