Is that second wave of moisture still expected to creep up in the morning ?

Maybe?,some models show it while others don't.The HRRR still shows it fwiw.I would watch the HRRR today to see how it trends.As we get a new run every hour.And it tends to be the most accurate model when you're in nowcasting time.

KSGR has been sitting at 41 degrees since 4am.. I thought for sure it would be in the 30s by now.

HRRR is my go to model for sure. I’ve found it to be the most accurate but even then it’s wrong sometimes.

I’m really surprised the temps haven’t started dropping more. I guess the CAA is having a difficult time fighting daytime heating.

In Caldwell and it’s mostly heavy sleet right now.

mcheer23 yeah i did see that, and even what is falling right bow which is rain is probably going to freeze over soon, gonna be a nasty next 6-8 hours

Got down to 38 here now back up to 39. CAA is having a hard time right now. Saw same thing yesterday up in the DFW area until deeper cold air arrived.
