18°F last night. That's 12.9°F, 19°F, 18°F IMBY in a row for low temps.

17°F, 9°F, and 5° were the last string of nights where lows were teens or below. That was potent cold. The expectation is for lows below freezing tonight and tomorrow - about 28°F...before the big warmup.

In Feb. 2021 we had 10 nights (albedo helps!) in a row at freezing or under.

Sambuol nope, next 7-14 days look warm, but definitely not a blow torch pattern either, I expect a return to colder weather mid month ( January)as the polar vortex begins to weaken again

Lots of 40s to 60s the next two weeks. We peak in the low 70s a couple days.

Definition of seasonal.

Luckily it’s a quick humid and warm spell.

I'm seeing a lot of 50s (hi) - 30s (lo) after Jan 2 on GEPS Ensemble. GEFS and EPS are fairly similar - maybe a couple of degrees warmer. Seasonably mild, but not warm. Works for me until the next arctic front.

Yeah, exactly. Thankfully the AO is negative.

It looks like most of the rain this week will be east of us.

Thank you. At least in the city of Houston, we’ll be well above seasonal temps, with at least four days reaching 74-75 F, which is 10+ degrees warmer than the average high this time of year.

Today was a Chamber of Commerce day - 60°F and crystal clear skies.

We have another winner tomorrow. Then return flow, showers and humid for a couple of days...followed by drier weather, but still 10°F above normal.

Looks like we could have a few rounds of rain over the next 10 days or so but the models have it really blowing up once these systems get towards LA and points east of there. We’re kinda on the edge of it. We’ll see if it trends back west or not.

Gonna be a WET few days in Beaumont. Models keep going higher and now forecasting up to 4”+ is possible.

More seasonal temperature. Every time it gets cold, it warms up.

Some big cold blasts like in December 1989 give way to milder winters. Same goes with February 1895 and February 1899.

I am not saying it will happen this winter.

Hope everyone that likes colder weather enjoys this morning because it’s the last one we’re gonna see for a while. Possibly for a few weeks.
