Doesnt seem like we will get much of anything out of this event, maybe something interesting around the 20th?

Personally, I think y’all are focusing too much on Monday but I can understand it since it’s the more immediate threat but personally, I’m way more focused on what could come from the 20th onward.

Yeah, you should never get your hopes up for wintry weather living here but since we go through so much hardship almost every winter it makes it that much sweeter when it does happen. Like the ole saying goes, joy wouldn’t feel so good if it weren’t for pain. One of these days we will get pounded with a widespread 10-15” snowstorm and we can all go nuts like lil kids. Let’s just hope we’re all still here to experience it cuz trust me, we most definitely deserve it. I still to this day remember the ‘04 Christmas miracle like it was yesterday and still to this day was one of the very best days of my life. You can go up north all you want to see snow but there’s nothing like experiencing it at your own place considering our geographical location. It’s at the top of the mountain for me.

If we want winter weather we gotta move away from this place. It's that cut and dry, it just doesn't happen here for us and when it does it takes a miracle lol

KBTX precip. chances are up to 50% in CLL (KBTX). Hi/Lo: 30/29°F.

As predicted Sunday - Wednesday will be continuously below freezing. Freezing rain and sleet are in play.

8 nights below freezing are likely IMFY.

It’s not the same when you move because if you live in an area where you expect snow, it’s just not the same as when you live in an area that doesn’t expect it.

Exactly. I grew up as a kid down here but spent a few years in Chicago during my late teens. The snow up there was fun for an hour or so before it became the biggest nuisance ever. Once the plows come, it’s disgusting and just a mess. Can’t do anything outside cause it’s all wet and sloppy until it dries out.

I looked at the CPC 6-10 day outlook and it is interesting with below normal temps and near normal precipitation

It is quite on the forum because most people have given up on snow/ice chances. No one really knows until Sunday because their is too much uncertainties with the system for Sunday Night/Monday.

Front is overperforming.

Was supposed to be -31. Cut bank at -36. Will probably top -40. Forecast was -35.
