We aren’t going to go anywhere while ice is probably going to occur.

We stocked-up just in case. Even if it gets above freezing tomorrow, I don't feel like going anywhere. I'm making Spaghetti and Tortilla Soup tomorrow. Enough for 2nd meals and leftovers for days...

Weird. I’m one hour west of you and it feels like 11°F here.

Feels like a normal cold morning in Beaumont. Forecasted low was 32, lowest we got was 37. East of Houston just is not getting anywhere near what was predicted. Boo.

This is what we call grasping at straws

In all seriousness, I'm glad you are enjoying the cold weather with some winter precip and the bourbon!! :P

I'm watching the pre-recorded Cowboys game in 4K, finally, since I was prepping all day, with some wine with with my beautiful bride of 21 years. I'm down to 2 minutes left in the game.

Everything is covered or inside as best as can be - I think the mule palms will be fine. We stocked-up on food so I actually hope we get some winter precip out of this so the kids and my wife can have a 'snow day' on Tuesday.

Be safe everyone, and stay home if the roads are icy!!

Congrats on 21 years. Our 20 is in August

Looks like radar is starting to fill in as it heads up my way. Had sleet and rain mix on the way to the office and the rain was freezing on the windshield in between the wipers cycling.

Same here. Snow/sleet on the roofs and street. 19°F. Good luck driving on that! Fortunately, I made a massive batch of Fiesta soup last night. I have beer battered shrimp and a gas stove. Wine and vanilla crown royal. We're set...I better make syllabi for the semester classes and work on some grants...

System overperforming with temps. Metro Houston at 28 and now forecast to be above freezing (33) only for one hour later today. Precip falling. Damn. Too bad this airmass is so shallow!
