Still many variables that I dont have the knowledge to understand that will affect next week but if Wxman57 is in, its worth taking the time to be prepared just in case.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 8:29 am Wxman57 is all in.
“I'm in Houston. Snow likely up there starting Monday evening and ending Tuesday evening. Possible 3-5 inches snow on Tuesday. Temperatures below freezing Sunday afternoon to noon Monday then from Monday evening to Wednesday afternoon. Lowest temperature on Wednesday morning - mid teens.“

probably none of my business but why is a guy from Mississippi posting in the Texas thread on 2k? some of his comments get misconstrued for Texas and not where he lives.
Cuz their thread sucks and the Texas thread is poppin.Brazoriatx979 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 9:34 am probably none of my business but why is a guy from Mississippi posting in the Texas thread on 2k? some of his comments get misconstrued for Texas and not where he lives.
The Captain is from Houston and is a longtime poster. He’s a Met student at Mississippi State and he’s good at what he doesBrazoriatx979 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 9:34 am probably none of my business but why is a guy from Mississippi posting in the Texas thread on 2k? some of his comments get misconstrued for Texas and not where he lives.

The Captain is CaptainBarborossa...he posts here semi frequently. As Jason stated, he is a Met student. He graduates in May. MississippiWx is a long time poster (2010), but I do not know much about him.Brazoriatx979 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 9:40 amoh. Not looking good for those of us south of I-10 atm. 12z GFS sucks. Looks really good N of 105 and points east towards the northern areas of Golden Triangle.

Nothing changed really with that setup.Brazoriatx979 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 10:14 am hopefully the euro will be better lol its always a roller coaster with this stuff. Its probably doing the same thing it did the other day. it will correct itself.
12z GFS didn’t suck, you just didn’t like the output map based on location. It’s a good setup and will over perform in spots.
