I live on the Northside but I'm in Baytown for the event, so I decided to just type it in my comment

I just got back home from a lil road trip. Went up to Columbus and then back home through Eagle Lake. About 2° colder up there than it is down here and starting to collect on the ground up there. Not collecting down here yet, but it has cooled off down to 30°F now. Nothing but sleet and graupel so far down here. Very light amounts so far.

Approaching 2" here. The dew point had leveled off at 27, but now it has dropped down to 26 with an air temp of 28.7 and slowly falling. A steady light-moderate snow with decent sized flakes.

The jet stream has really been firehosing while sputtering. But it's still blowing. It ain't over. Things are sticking at 27°F here. We might get an inch more as flakes continue - a little larger over the last couple of hours.

Steady snow here in Fairfield still. An inch or so built up on the cars and mostly covering all grassed area and partially the streets and sidewalks.

Well so far its nothing compared to the Dec 8, 2017 event. Unless something happens its eehhh. Certainly doesnt match all the hype to this point.

2 AM and still just ice/sleet in Sienna. Frankly, I'm getting a little concerned about the amount of ice that's forming out here. It's already glazed just about everything above ground in a cover of ice. Wasn't expecting this much freezing rain?

I'm sorry this is happening to you. It's a prime example of nowcasting. Yesterday everything pointed to your area getting pounded.

It sure is pretty. We've not seen this sort of thing in years.

Finally getting some sleet but by the time it " changes to snow" it will all be moving out..dont wanna say a bust because it's not for the viewing area but for my part it is...badly anything has fallen and it's already 5 am. Snow showers were to have begin at 4 lol

Yep it's over for you. For me I just changed over to snow over the last hour and am finally getting hammered with heavy snow. Just a half an inch maybe so far but as I understand it, the heavy stuff was supposed to be 6am to 10am so I'm right on track
