Enjoy it while it lasts! The sun will be out this afternoon for most of us. I’m OK with that, don’t want to lose my mule palms in some crazy single-digit freeze.

My official measurement in Baytown is 5 inches. I found as many flat open areas as I could and got really consistent data.

Nearing 2.5”-3” so far in Beaumont. Heaviest should start between now and 10am which we could pick up another 2”-3” on top of whatever has already fallen. Currently in a “Blizzard Warning” for Jefferson county eastward. Not sure how many times that has ever happened if any at all. Blowing snow obstructing view has really picked up over the last hour and overpasses/bridges have been shutdown. This will continue strong till around noon before conditions begin improving.

Nice. We got maybe 2/3 of an inch. Brenham and Navasota saw your bands. We were dry slotted.

Winner. I stayed up way too late, especially with COVID...and no reward like that.
We did have the same amount of snow twice in 2021 (Jan, Feb)

Remember, the sun will be out today and some melting will occur. That being said, it will refreeze tonight. Tomorrow's morning commute might be dicey. Be careful.

Finished with about 3" here. Was really coming down hard this morning. Sad we didn't cash in on some of the huge numbers that were out there, but after the models trended to almost nothing, I'm pleasantly surprised. Still historic in these parts and plenty of white stuff to make it feel like a winter wonderland!

So depressing, sun after snow.
