Mid january still looks very good, but my god the next 7-10 days are going to be nothing short of miserable , 15+ degrees normal on average for most of se texas

At least the DP isn't high. Yet. lol
What's been happening to Fall over the past 2-3 decades is now spilling into winter. Is this the new normal or just another weird La Nina year? Warmer and more humid weather (with less rain on most days yet more floods) could be our future, especially if things go "AMOC." Paradise for wxman57...not for the rest of us.

DoctorMu euro/ GFS also offer some needed relief around the 10-12th , over running cold rain run lol, but would still be a much preferred outcome over this disgusting warmth

86 outside, and I guess every company set the same reminder to mass mail out job rejections on Jan 1st. My email inbox was full of depression. I get to celebrate the new year by starting my job search over completely from scratch. Here's to at least 2 more months unemployed.

Our son just received his PhD and is in the same boat. He's scouring from Lawrence Livermore to Switzerland. Millenials at Home!
