I rained here in Porter with lots of thunder and lightening. I really surprised me. It's no drought breaker, but it was rain at least.

Same here ... no drought-breaker but we may have picked up as much as a tenth of an inch. These days, that's a lot!

105 degrees at IAH today. I heard thunder a while ago, but it's passing to my north closer to I-10. I guess the temperature finally got hot enough to break the cap. ;-)

105 is really hot, especially for this time of the year. This would be earliest that I know of where it was at 105 in early June. More like August. Looks like the good thing was the heat broke the cockroach cap.

It's rumbling and lightening here again. No rain this time so far, but definately a different kind of pattern this evening. Lots of thunder and lightening. I hope more rain accompanies it. I'd hate to think of lightening hitting something with everything so dry.
No rain, no rainbows.

I has .05" earlier today. Looks like another round is developing practically on top of me now. Maybe this will leave a little more for me...

The 2nd round was decent for me, but just a few miles away there was a lot more from the core of the storm than what I got. Still, I got .30" from round two leaving me a total of .35".

The 09Z SREF and the 12Z WRF suggest showers/storms will fire later this afternoon.

At least I heard thunder, saw lightning and saw rain in the distance yesterday. I'll take a bit of wind to get some rain.

I heard thunder, saw lightning, had 5 minutes of rain, lost the lights for 35 minutes...now if it could become a gully washer, then we are in business....

IAH reporting 94F at this hour. I have 97F. Although pw's are a bit drier than yesterday, it still feels might muggy out there.

Nothing firing up yet here in Kingwood. Yesterday at this time I had a descent amount of cumulus starting... will wait and see. Don't think it's going to be as active as yesterday- hope I'm wrong.

2 deg warmer than yesterday at noon. On our way to a high of 109-112? Probably not. Towering cumulus starting to pop to our north and southeast. Won't be long until the cap breaks and storms are popping.
