Strong gate to gate rotation still evident via storm velocities.

PLEASE send all weather related pics to ''desk@kprc.com.'' I'm sure they'd love to show them on the air. Will let Frank know to be looking for them----maybe.

From Jeff:

Large HP supercell moving into Harris County.

Supercell with strong rotation over northern Fort Bend County moving toward SW Harris County. This storm has had a history of producing marble to ping pong ball size hail over southern Austin and northern Fort Bend counties. Radar continues to indicate strong rotation north of Sugar Land and south of Fulshear moving east at 25mph. Radar DBZ is showing 65 to 70 and velocities show a strong couplet. The couplet is not a tight as earlier, and the cell may be transitioning into a bowing segment with wind damage likely on the forward front.

This is a dangerous storm capable of producing a tornado at any time with little or no warning. Locations in the path of this storm include: areas west of Beltway 8 south of I-10 and north of US 59 with the core of the rotation moving toward the Addicks/Barker Reservoir area.

Well welcome to 2012.

Looking at radar, it appears the worst of this will miss the Pearland area?

Reminder: Please send weather photos to ''desk@kprc.com''. I'm sure they've gotten a ton already but if you see damage or large hail and or the tornado, send em in. Thanks in advance.

Two straight months of 5 plus inches of rain in my area... MUCH NEEDED! Wow, what a pattern flip and what a huge bust by the forecasters who said this was going to be a dry La Nina Winter.
