.68" in 10 min from that line, looks like the troublesome stuff is over for our area, at least for now

6.75" so far, 5.5" of that in a very short time earlier this morning. That makes over 71" for the year. I've never seen the water so high in our street. An SUV got flooded - water up to the mid-grill.

Update from Jeff:

Band of excessive rainfall moving across Harris County.

Several locations recording 1 inch in 15-min with storm totals of 4-8 inches across Harris County. Radar shows continued development to the SW over Wharton and Fort Bend Counties. An additional 1-2 inches of rainfall will be likely across much of Harris County

Watersheds will be responding to the heavy rainfall with new rises likely.

With the ground saturated from last weekend, wow. That was some incredibly intense rain. It's still raining hard here in Friendswood, but not quite as hard. Just as I type that it picks up again. Parking lot already flooded.

Final total in SW Houston at my house was 7.77". That's 72.11 inches for the year so far. Wettest year I've measured in 35 years. Here's the 24-hr flood control rainfall map. I added my location in red. Looks like Brays Bayou was about 2-3 ft below the Memorial Day flood. Don't know if it over-topped its banks this time.
