Latest 21Z HRRR shows with snow/sleet/ice covered ground, North of I-10, temperatures could approach upper single digits to low teens.

Is dry air starting to win out? Nice radar returns over Ft Bend county but nothing coming out of the sky..

Here's a movie of the snow and me in the sleet. Some of the flakes are large (nickle-sized). Nothing too heavy. Video is 144mb and may take a bit to load before it plays.

The snow was always expected to end by around 6pm, so it's no surprise that we are seeing the precip taper off on radar.

got freezing rain/sleet/snow here at the house! temps are 26. interesting weather event!!!

It's mid-20s already from College Station down to La Marque. That's amazing.

4th event with winter precipitation. One 5 inch snowfall, two with a trace of snow. We'll call this 1/4 inch of sleet/ice. Much more south of here from Navasota to the coast for many of you.

HRRR is clearing out things pretty rapidly tonight and has temps in the Houston area reaching 18-20 degrees. As a result road conditions will further deteriorate. Good call that most schools delayed or canceled.

The snow and sleet was fun, but wow it’s gonna be chilly tonight. Maybe the coldest night since I moved here.
