Im hearing reports that a violent tornado has been spotted on the ground near la grange, and 5 inch per hour rainfall rates
this is going to be a brutal night yall

That whole line is making me nervous, I dont see it weaking with the huge influx of gulf moisture feeding into it, storms are producing 3-5 inch per hour rain fall rates. Heard a city near la grange picked up 6 inches of rain in an hour
I am getting very concerned about tonight, that line is moving slow, with very high rainfall rates. The sun coming out today has added fuel for these storms.

It looks like it is going to keep moving along to me even though it is slow moving.
Watch expanded eastward as I had thought. Just too much energy out there, and as y’all have already noted the sun being out much of the day really added fuel to the fire.
That’s a heck of a line. One of the more impressive ones I’ve seen in some time. Watch that area to the east of Halletsville and west of Sealy-ish for rotation. Going to be a long night.

I have to disagree with that, seems like the line is crawling at best, no chance we avoid the flooding threat

Line of storms from around Madisonville to Brenham to Columbus to
near Edna moving slowly eastward. High CAPE and high helicity
environment with a tornado threat will be diminishing after 9 pm.
Low level jet strengthening through the evening the threat may
transition to very intense rainfall rates of 3-4" per hour.
Extensive flooding in the areas around Moulton to Flatonia to La
Grange with these storms as they were coalescing and spinning up.
The issue is how progressive will the system be...guidance is
split with a slower move to the northeast or it becomes cold pool
dominant and pushes out to the southeast. Very difficult call at
this point.
3-4"/hour rainfall rates can be extremely dangerous and street
flooding will take place in minutes and if the system slows down
the streams/rivers/bayous will respond with very rapid rises.
Flash Flood Watch and Tornado Watch in effect.
If you are going to be out and about tonight be prepared to stay
put because roads could become treacherous. If you don't NEED to
go out don't! 45
