That line that just went through mission bend has some velocity to it.
We’ve gotten 1” so far here tonight and still raining pretty steadily out there. The 0z GFS is wet tonight. Shows chances for rain just about every day through the entire run.
Friendswood got hammered, and still getting a bit.
The 0z Euro came in very wet showing about 2-4” across southeast TX through the next 10 days. Almost the whole state of TX looks wet.

I know nome of the models are indicating anything tropical developing over the next 10-15 days in the gulf because of alot of sinking air that presides in the gulf right now, however I am getting a little interested in the 12z GFS run because it indicates around the June 2-6th timeframe, their is a period in which the GFS has more green or rising air over the gulf, as we know rising air tends to promote thunderstorm growth, not saying anything is going to happen, just something of note I saw in the model run
Scorcher outside right now.
Another pretty wet stretch coming up:

Noaa calls for a well above normal precipitation period while the WPC only has southeast Texas picking up .25 to maybe 1 inch for the entire week
I’m guessing today’s rain chances fizzled out.

Boooo I want that ridge to stay away! Hope next week rain chances go back up, as someone who lived in the middle east for 2 years, ai cant stand dry weather, rainy weather is where its at!
That’s a 6 to 10 day forecast for the dates of June 4th through June 8th from the CPC. The WPC QPF forecast is for the next 7 days and often times the WPC is way off on their predictions and it tends to actually rain quite a bit more than what it’s actually saying. They’re usually very conservative.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 2:55 pm Noaa calls for a well above normal precipitation period while the WPC only has southeast Texas picking up .25 to maybe 1 inch for the entire week
Couple of storms near Beaumont, moving SW.

Strong signal in the GFS for potential tropical development in the gulf around the 9th or 10th, I know its far out but some people are starting to mention it, definitely could happen as conditions are slowly becoming more conducive for development
