00z GFS drops the wintry weather potential entirely, looks like nothing but boring weather ahead

GEFS still has a signal for it and the Euro is trending stronger towards it. Also, at this range it’s typical for models to go back and forth. It’s still far out.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 10:51 pm 00z GFS drops the wintry weather potential entirely, looks like nothing but boring weather ahead

CPV17 what does it show? For some reason its not showing the 00z run for me
It shows some light snow accumulations out in the Hill Country. Kinda where the GFS had been showing it a few runs ago.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 1:49 am CPV17 what does it show? For some reason its not showing the 00z run for me

CPV17 ah that must be from the 12z run, I guess the data for the overnight euro run is delayed
Baseball tryouts today are gonna be miserable. This cold wind is the worst.

Yep, Brent (From S2K) is Jealous about this, he expected snow faster than OKC did! Lol
The main reason why there is no snow for Tulsa right now is because there is a Dry Slot.

It is interesting that most of the GFS ensembles show a winter storm late next week. Wouldn't be surprised to see the storm show back up in the operational run. We'll see...
