Yea this is looking more and more like a non event for us. Some rain, little wind, the cloud cover and breeze will be nice. Hope that changes overnight and into tomorrow, but so far, everything is trending away from our area.

I guess it’s expected to develop more than originally thought.

There's a reason why the flood watch doesn't start till 7pm tomorrow.....

The main event is not till tomorrow night-Wednesday,and that's been the forecast for several days now.I'm not sure why it seems like some expected today to be a washout..

Weather burgers can go from nothing to double meat around here. The best any of us can do is watch the trends. When it come to spring storms, summer hurricanes, and winter storms, we should all be prepared. Many folks don't understand that when a nothing burger pops up. We will see tomorrow, but don't shoot Ronald Mcdonald if he runs out of everything but the bun.

Exactly. I still wouldn’t be surprised to see the HRRR back down on totals over night and into tomorrow the further east you go in the HGX area. The HRRR is one of the better, if not best, publicly available short term models we have in my opinion.
There will be areas with some excessive totals and the further SW you go, the higher they will be. Many folks see precip output on models and don’t understand the logic behind it, unfortunately. Then social media does its thing.
Reality is - you could get nothing, some brief downpours or a train with hours of downpours. Wherever they set up.. the models aren’t going to tell anyone that.. but it’s likely for somewhere in our county watch area.

The forecast models do get rain amount correct, but not the location correct.
