Depends on the platform.
When I'm on iOS I use RadarScope. I run it most of the time on my iMac too. I have a paid data feed from Allisonhouse.

Sometimes if I'm on a desktop (and I have Parallels on my Macs) I run GRLevel2 Analyst, also with the Allisonhouse feed.

They have slightly different needs for me. If I'm just checking the radar a lot and panning/zooming all around while multitasking, I love the ease-of-use of RadarScope. If I am sitting in front of my iMac in "storm mode" fully dedicated to weather watching, I'll open-up Gr2 and work with that. My only hangups with Gr2 is that it does take a little more work/clicking and I can only pin one location + home, whereas on Radarscope I have multiple locations saved all over the country that I can jump to in a pinch.

FWIW Radarscope does not look great on my Samsung Tablet (Android), so it's rarely used.

The one that was moving into SeLa?

Yeah I’m pretty sure you’re right. The GFS was hinting at it last week, I believe but it had it moving into LA.

Yes that's the one.I don't think it will have enough time to fully develop tropically, but it may come close.

There's a million good sites for Satellite images but my go-to is the NASA .5km resolution site.

You can click to zoom, animate, overlay counties, lat/lon, etc. I always up the quality to 100% too if bandwidth isn't an issue.

The drop-down at the top has other bands too (IR, WV, etc.)

Thank you.
I have so many links saved for radar/GOM radar etc. that are no good anymore.

Thats two computer models that shows the potential for some tropical development, im not buying it, water temps in the Northern Gulf are in the 76-78 degree range

Well technically I guess if water temps are around 78-79 in that northern gulf, that technically “could” still support some development, but nothing strong, still even a weak depression could cause huge problems

Well how about that system out towards Bermuda? Pretty sure it’s in cooler waters than this one and it’s expected to develop.

Yeah haha the waters up by bermuda where that system is, are definitely cooler than water temps in the northern gulf, not ruling out that the CMC and UKmet models are right and this develops , but the wind shear is moderate to high in the gulf right now, and unless the euro and gfs jump on board, im highly doubtful that it will develop

Yeah I doubt it develops but it doesn’t have to develop to bring copious amounts of rain into the area. I’m interested to see if the NHC will mention it in their 2pm update.

I think its possible they could, because I definitely do see a weak cyclonic spin within the complex of storms. Not out of the reap. of possibility

If we are talking about the tropical or non tropical area of storms in the gulf the. it probably could, I do see that this “area of interest” Is located more towards the west central gulf where water temps are around 81-84 degrees which is definitely conducive for development but wind shear is just too high
