Issued at 1229 PM CDT Tue Aug 22 2023

Isolated to scattered shra/tsra and ESE to SE 12-17 kt gust up to
25 kt winds are expected this afternoon. Best chance of rain will
be south of I-10. Though isolated TS activity has been observed,
we have only included VCSH in the TAFs from IAH to the coast.
Shra/tsra will end later today and winds will decrease by this
evening. Patchy fog will be possible, especially in rural areas.
6SM BR was added to the TAF at CXO and LBX for the 09-13Z time
frame. Brief lower vis cannot be ruled out.

Activity still showing up around Lake Charles! More than modelled coverage, and might imply action for areas north of I-10!

So far this far outer band flirting with me just can’t congeal into anything. That ridge keeps trying to squash it. Maybe a little more heating will finally bust through.

We did have a cell cross the Brazos Co. line near Navasota - within about 15 miles of home. Another cell looks like it could skirt just south of town...

Props to anyone seeing some rain.
