Geez that same storm is almost to I-20 a bit west of Shreveport. Yes, that’s a supercell for sure.

Madisonville/College Station supercell nearing Marshall. 300+ mile track.

Madisonville, areas near Crocket have significant damage.

Not too gripe too much, but the Houston NOA Office is too conservative and sloe at getting out severe weather watches to folks. Crocket/Houston County didn't even have a warning until 9:20 pm. Folks in areas of TX that are more rural need more lead time. They aren't Houston urbanites!

I'm hearing fatalities. No official count yet. Power outages near Madisonville.

Will take the beneficial rains. Thankfully just some wind besides that over here, though that tornado alert an hour ago was just north of me.

This will definitely be considered an historic outbreak for the state.Unfortunately i don't think this will be the last outbreak this season. With persistent ridging in the Pacific that will allow storms to dig south before ejecting over the plains/southeast.Models are already sniffing out another strong storm system around the end of the month.Something to keep an eye on.

Several tornado warnings just north of Beaumont. We are being slammed with training storms. Already over 1” and still pouring and the MAIN event isnt even here yet. Small hail earlier. Hopefully this will rob some of the energy when the squall line arrives. Have a feeing we will get more rain we bargained for. It just keeps training over Beaumont. Glad you guys in Houston made it through without too much. Dont forget about me! Your east neighbor.
