This is an ensemble mean. Expect those pinks to be much further south in reality as we move closer towards the event. That is one heck of a signal for being that far out.

I mean 37 is cold for a high don’t get me wrong but we just had low to mid 40’s for highs in mid/late November. You could argue that being more impressive than 37 for a high in late December.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 10:32 amCorrect. An ensemble mean of 37 (daily) for me is damn cold.

Howdy there - we’ll see how things pan out. I have a lot of ties to Florida so we may end-up with property in multiple states. Nothing beats the weather in Hawaii though. Never gets too hot and never gets too cold.

I experienced a white Christmas one time. 1997 - Lubbock, TX. Had a girlfriend still at Tech and went to visit her for Christmas. Went to see Titanic Christmas night. Came outside to about 6” of heavy snow falling. It was magical.

Holy smokes!!! Those are some cold temps along the upper Tx coast and SETX! Does the GFS have a good track record seeing what’s coming and forecasting when it comes to cold intrusions?
