The cold is overperforming already in CLL. Down to 47°F and dropping. There's no chance of making a 57°F high. That low is going to funnel cold air in...and there's snow cover NW of us from Abilene up to the Dakotas.

I'm glad everyone is okay.

As someone that used to chase in college, and has seen a couple F3 wedges in NETX growing up, its' not something you wish on anyone.

Is that true? I remember when the F4 (before EF days) Tornado hit Channelview.

^^^ Did they issue PDS warnings back then?

Waded wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 3:08 pm Hearing reports that a tornado went through Deer Park on Independence Parkway and made a mess. Lines down, trucks overturned.

Looks like it passed just east of the San Jac monument. During Santa Ana's usual nap time.

Yes, because they only started issuing PDS warnings the last 10+ years.

I haven’t checked the models today but it doesn’t seem to be much buzz going on about the potential cold since yesterdays crazy 18z GFS run. I read Cosgroves write-up earlier and he expects it to get cold in early February and then a big grand finale after the middle of the month. So possibly two big cold shots in February from the way I interpreted it.
