It's going to be close. Probably those last 1-2 hours of precipitation will be the highest chances for a wintry mix.christinac2016 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 4:13 pm Radar doesn’t show it getting to the woodlands area. Yet forecast says 80% chance snow. Will we see it?

Well in any event, the models and NWS nailed this system. That’s pretty hard to do with winter weather down in our area.
I may have a shot at some flurries around 5:30-6 if that area south of Columbus can make it. Radar looks to be drying out quickly to the west.

Here's hoping for the next event. Nothing expected in Brazoria County.

There's a heavy band between Brenham and Columbus. Hope it descends south!davidiowx wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 4:41 pm Well in any event, the models and NWS nailed this system. That’s pretty hard to do with winter weather down in our area.

I decided to head up north a bit up highway 71 north. Stopped in Altair 10 miles south of Columbus and I’m reporting 33 degrees here with sleet.

Everything looks to be going as planed so far over the next few hours i expect the frozen line to reach atleast the northern half of Harris county. As some places are already reporting sleet along I-10 just to the west of the county.
