Exactly. I see freezing rain more dangerous than snow. The temp is finally starting to drop faster here 37.6F, a full degree in the last 30 minutes. I'm having to live this event vicariously through y'all Northerners.

Strong cell holding up on approach from the southwest. Appears to have potential hail according to color graphics.

It's lightning and thunder....and light FREEZING DRIZZLE...looks like it's already starting to form on the cars here in NW Harris.

okay, so here's my report.......thunder and lightening....has died down for now. Can't really tell what my temp is at my house.....KHOU weather caster shows 31. And a humorous side note - on the app it shows "snow" for the next hour!!

Major lightning and thunder at 529/Fry. Shook my house and scared the crap outta me! Whatever is falling from the sky is clicking on my metal patio cover. The wind is nothing to sneeze at either.

Very strong cell still holding up and appears that it is about to cross into southwest Harris County.
You can see the main disturbance starting to come through from the South Texas radar.
