It is my extreme honor to announce that Andrew has received his Pro Met tag. Andrew will officially graduate from Texas A & M next month with his Meteorology degree. As many of our longtime members remember, Andrew was just a young teenager that became very interested in Tropical Weather on our KHOU Weather Forum. That interest began a dream to one day become a Professional Meteorologist. Andrew has now fulfilled that dream and passion and we congratulate him. I want to particularly thank Andrew for all his hard work as well as stepping up during a very difficult time for our KHOU Weather Forum when I became aware that Dan Meador was nearing the end of his battle with cancer. Dan and I set forth plans to bring on Andrew, wxman57 as well as Tireman4 and Katdaddy to assist myself and jcarr with the KHOU Weather Forum. Andrew has and continues to be a strong positive in the growth and expansion of our KHOU Regional Weather Forum. He shares his ideas and visions that will continue to make the KHOU Weather Forum Community the ‘go to’ place for all things weather across our Region. We are very blessed to have so many outstanding and very knowledgeable members and Pro Mets that make this online Weather Community one of the most respected Weather Forums available.

Excellent news! Andrew, I am just a lurker for the most part and by no means any kind of professional! I still don't understand half of what you guys are talking about most of the time, :) but do have a keen interest in weather.

With that said, I have always enjoyed your posts. You have a way of making things easier to understand. I'm happy for and proud of you and look forward to your continued input. You have a very bright future ahead of you. Congratulations!!!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. Weather has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I am one of the lucky few who get the opportunity to make a career out of it. Everyone on the board has helped me in some way get to that point, so I thank all of y'all. I hope to have many more years of teaching and learning on this board. Thanks again everyone!

Congratulations Andrew! That's really awesome. When we only see words on a screen and not faces, we forget how the years pass. That is great news that you are living your dream. Best wishes to you. I know that your family is as proud of you as "your family" here is. Great job. That is great news.
