Although I know you're right and totally agree, that's not very comforting. I may pack a bag, just in case. Lots of low spots between work and home. :?

Everything that appears to move in from the gulf, seems to dissipate.

This may change in the AM.

Wait until the D-max period to see how things go first.
Forgot to mention, this seems to be a compact storm. Should we worry?

Why me, worry?
It is compact, but the outer bands are not.

It just seems that a little dry air is mixing in.

But I do detect a bit of a Northward jog, could be my untrained eyes though.

Oh and just a sidebar to this. I love the Texas coastline and watching the watch and warning lines is a great way to teach your kids ( and yourself) local geography. Lots to learn watching these systems. I love that. Sorry for veering off topic a bit.

Ok pro mets looking at the water vapor it looks like an ULL has developed to the North East of Bill just off of the west coast of Florida. Will this ventilate or shear and what does it do to the stearing ridge?

Next 24 hours should be interesting. Wind gust to 41 at the county ramp this afternoon.

I would not completely rule out Bull being a hurricane. However, I think Bill is more likely to be a strong tropical storm. Bill should be more of a rain event.

TS Bill seems to have pushed His clutch in and thrown it in Neutral.

He has slowed a bunch in forward speed.
Lord, just what we don't need.

Does this mean the storm is changing direction, becoming stronger, or both?

Getting stronger, I'd say.

It is definitely intensifying but it is still a rather large system so it will be slow to intensify. Next update will be at 1am.

I'm hearing reports about cold cloud tops showing up on satellite imagery. What does that signify?

Thanks! Also, apparently the new Canadian run is slowing the storm's movement after it moves onshore compared to previous runs. Anyone know how slow it is depicting the movement to be?
