Wonder if this will pass through in 30 mins and be sunshine afterwards ?
I've been watching the radar most of the morning, does not appear to be moving quickly. Getting a few sprinkles here in Stafford now.

Good visiting with you too Brooks. Bill Read is driving back now through this mess since our flight was cancelled. Most everyone still here are on the Island experiencing some CG and very chilly gales with the cold air behind the MCV.brooksgarner wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 10:30 am... and they laughed at me for driving ... Fascinating to hear the verified preview of what awaits behind the MCV. I’m sorry you guys got stuck. Sounds like it’s not exactly spring break weather ... Bill’s on an adventurous drive. That’s a long stretch (especially Raymondville to Kingsville) on a sunny day, much less this mess! Took me 5.5hrs in the sunshine yesterday. Fly safe!srainhoutx wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 10:38 amGood visiting with you too Brooks. Bill Read is driving back now through this mess since our flight was cancelled. Weather Update from Jeff:
As expected, a large line of strong to severe thunderstorms has developed over SW TX overnight and is moving into SE TX.
This line currently extends from Palacios to Columbus to just west of Brenham and is moving toward the ENE/NE at 25-30mph. Strong gusty winds of 40-60mph will be possible along the leading edge of this line as well as brief heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Overall fast storm motions and lack of training cells should keep rainfall totals in the 1-2 inch range with a few locations seeing up to 3 inches. Activity should impact the I-45 corridor between noon and 200pm and exit to the east between 300-500pm.
There is the potential for a few additional isolated thunderstorms and showers this afternoon and evening.

Watching and waiting... Sure has been a slow moving line of storms. At least hubby was able to get his golf game in this morning. He should be finishing up now. Hopefully will get home before the skies open up here in Stafford.
We just had a brief power blip. Hearing lots of rumblings of thunder. Looking at radar it is just about to my area. Big line of red heading up Hwy69. Sure hope the hubby is heading home soon. Thankfully he is not that far from home.
