How To Make A Thumbnail of a Large Image

We're finding that sometimes very large images can overwhelm the thread. There is an easy way to make a smaller thumbnail image (that can be clicked to enlarge.) Depending on what style you're using, do this-

Near the bottom of page where you're typing your message, either click on the 'Upload attachment' and then click on the 'Browse' button

or

if there is no tab, just click on the 'Browse' button. Again, this is dependent on the style you're using.

When the file window pops up, either find the image on our computer, or just put the URL of the image in the 'File Name' box. By URL, I mean something like

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/overview_atl/atl_overview.gif

If you get an 'image not found,' then the address of the image may have been typed incorrectly. Try to retype it again...

I'm going to place this as a Global Announcement since we have some newer folks attempting to upload images. Dan created a nice tutorial that was in Hurricane Central that will be helpful.
