My dog is staying by my side all day. Very different for her.rselby0654 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 1:32 pmAnimals have a sixth sense. Maybe Laura will come much closer to Houston than forecasted. Definitely need to be prepared.AtascocitaWX wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 1:27 pm I just went outside here in Atascocita to bring in Patio chairs and it seem very still and quiet and eerie , no birds and my neighbors dog did not even bark or come out his house. He normally comes running and barking at the gate.
August 2020:
Outside all the frogs turned on at once for about 5 minutes and then all were suddenly silent.
Looks as though Laura just made a nice little jog to the north!
Definitely looking like on a more northward path now on Goes16. Wonder if that's just a wobble or an actual turn.

Hopefully it’s a nice jog N and it continues taking those jogs to the N every few hours. Everything points to this making landfall in extreme SW LA or TX/LA border. It would be an incredible adjustment if she were to come close to Bolivar.
Still need to keep our guards on high until she makes landfall. These squalls can pack a punch too so everyone should be prepared for possible hurricane force wind gust in these squall lines.
Did anyone else hear 'Wobble Baby" in their heads?? I been singing this for a couple of hours!

Squall moving in toward Liberty County may pack a bit more of a punch.

Man she’s bombing out. Unbelievable intensification. Prayers to all in the direct path of Laura
This is becoming one of the more challenging chases I've ever had with Josh. Really making life threatening decisions.
Have fear that there will be some chasers that lose their lives by pushing it to much.

Has anyone measure the distance from eye to edge of the core, looks like glancing blow to the whole I-45 corridor. Any one agree?
That's what I've been saying . Is watch the western edge of the CDO. Any nudge west makes a huge huge difference to the i45 corridor

Latest dropsonde indicates a minimum MSLP of 948 hPa, continuing Laura's rapid deepening. We're now up to a ~21 hPa decrease in 8:30 hours since this morning's first center pass. These plots are now updating on my site by demand: https://t.co/T3LMwEkg2r pic.twitter.com/vgrn0LOtzj

Yeah it was really small but I wasn't expecting such a good wind gust out of it.. It has returned to sunny and dry again. Near the mall
