Pretty “July” like 😄

Looks like a wet week ahead. Then hopefully a break. We are 3 weeks past our scheduled dig date and still waiting.
Jason, are you getting a pool put in or something?🤷‍♂️
Yes sir. We signed the contract back in April. Number #13 in line at the time. We have been “next” in line since late June. We can’t start construction until we get several days of dry weather. I was hoping to have the pool in by Labor Day but that looks impossible at this point.

These forecasters these days are too aggressive with rain chances. I’m not sure what they’re seeing that leads them to believe in such high chances for almost the whole week. Global models are only showing 1-2” of rain.

When is the last time it has rained this much from May through July? I drive around and nobody has been able to mow the grass in awhile, and those that have tried, regretted it lol
1900, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1946, 1959, 1961, 1968, 1973, 1975, 1979, 1981, 1983, 1989, 2007, and 2010.

1941, 1942, and 1943 had a dry month, but were wet from May to July.

And of those years we had hurricanes in 1900, 1943, 1961, 1983, 1989 & 2007?
And Claudette in ‘79.

Yes, there were hurricanes in those years. Let's not forget 1941 and 1942.

Cpv17 yup thats probably how its going to go , gotta monitor if the front manages to push out into the gulf, a very trusted and well respected meteorologist did say the Northwest gulf is in phases 4/5 of the MJO right now which is favorable for something to spin up, I wouldnt mention this if it didnt come from a credible meteorologist

I'll take 1-2" of rain this week without complaint. That would take the sprinklers into August. that's what I'm seeing on the models, but the movement or lack thereof of the front will be key.

The front appears to be arriving early. There should be rain tonight, possibly this afternoon in CLL.

Well there’s plenty of energy out there for it. I haven’t seen dew points this high all summer.

CPV17 yup this is why I kind of think we might have a sneaky potential flooding issue, Global models are only calling for 1-3 inches of rain through Friday, problem is with dewpoints this high right now, those 1-3 inches could come down in a single thunderstorm, and if we get any training well we know what can happen with this kind of juicy atmosphere

Not even the colliding boundaries are doing much to develop storms so far!

I don’t really expect much this week if I’m being honest. Hope I’m wrong though.

They should start blowing up soon if the forecast is right. May be a little closer to the coast than initially thought.
