LaPlace, Metarie, Kenner Western suburbs) hit very hard.srainhoutx wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 9:20 pm Electric Transmission Tower that supplies electricity to Jefferson Parish and New Orleans has collapsed into the Mississippi River.
I'm live-streaming Fox 8 WVUE and David Bernard (with Zach Fradella) just gave an extensive walkthrough. Most of the hurricane conditions have moved to the northwest of the city now. They just showed probabilities for hurricane force winds in the next 24 hours and Hammond was 100%, Baton Rouge 58%, and New Orleans was down to 0%. Tropical Storm force probabilities were still at 100% however.srainhoutx wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 9:52 pm WWL Radio AM 870 reports that 12 more hours of Hurricane conditions likely for New Orleans.
This first tweet is not confirmed. The quote cannot be attributed to any credible source and I can't find it anywhere else. Someone posted the same on Storm2K and I deleted it.Ptarmigan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 10:16 pm Some parts of Jefferson Parish are flooding.
