It was simply not meant to be for that thing to become a tropical storm or even a hurricane, otherwise it would have done that when it was south-southwest of Panama City, Fl, yes?

What was the hindering factor in averting that SLL from developing into a tropical storm or hurricane other than the closeness to land, strong wind shear again?

Cursed, illogical hurricane season, rotten luck.

I was never hopeful for strength, but a path of some sort to give the dry folks some rain. Maybe that is what happened anyway.
This system isn't dead yet, and there are indications it may hang around like a lost puppy. If that were the case, as conditions change from day to day, we'll have to see if this lost puppy finds a new home.

If not, better luck next time, newbies. Welcome to weather, chapter 2010.

Lol

Am I seeing things? Radar out of LA suggests a circulation heading south/southwest near the coast. Activity is on the increase over the state, and some of that is trying to move toward Texas.

Would anyone like to place a wager on td5 exiting the s.e. Coast, crossing over Florida, and getting back our into the gulf for round three. This is providing that it lives long enough to do that. Td5 is not dead yet, in spite of the amount of time over land already, and this has been a stubborn system from the start.

Edit to say that if this type of scenario were possible, it could just cross over the s.e. States and exit into the Gulf via the Florida panhandle. Surely this thing will just die over land before getting to that stage.
