Lightning showing-up towards Splendora and Plum Grove.
Band to my south is juicing-up from south to north and just might train over me for a bit. Fingers crossed we get something this morning as an appetizer.

You never turn down non 100 year rainfall event in SE Texas when a drought is looming and you've already been well above average for temps and its not even June.

It needs to come ashore and post up a bit. My area is in single digit rainfall for the year.

I’m on way back from McAllen and they got a flood down there. Streets were under water. Probably the biggest rain they had there all year. Hopefully I come back home to more rain but the radar doesn’t look too good for the southwestern counties. The rain looks aimed for the eastern half of the area.

That little band up here fizzled. Probably too far west to get much out of that low, but it sure is wrapping up nicely. Almost tropical looking.

If you don't see any rain during the daytime today, late tonight/tomorrow morning everyone should see some rain with the front as a large MCS pushes through.

Band is hitting here now. It’s pouring rain. I’ll take whatever we can get on this last week of the meteorological spring season.

The MCS tomorrow is coming at the wrong time of day. It looks like pretty weak sauce by the time it gets to southeast TX.

12Z mesoscale models actually look pretty good to me.
